For the past two years Bill Fairley has been working on a large- scale musical production about Sir William Wallace, revered for leading a courageous resistance against the English Occupation in the 13th century (during the Wars of Scottish Independence). Fairley became fascinated with the history of Wallace after a visit to Scotland back in 1998, when he visited Lanark, where Wallace had lived.

Dozens of documentary videos, books and cds of Wallace and Scotland's history now line a wall in Fairley's studio. He has listened to, and viewed them all with an ever growing passion. He plans to return to Scotland to take footage of Stirling Castle, where in 1297, Wallace led the Scots to victory at the Battle of Stirling Bridge.

"Freedom!" is an historical rock musical play which tells the story of William Wallace and beyond, to Robert the Bruce who took up the cause and eventually won Scotland's independence. Canada's new Celtic rock band, "Skye", has written all the original material for this original production.

Along with great acting and rousing celtic music with up to date rock stylings and rhythms, this play promises to be a fresh and unforgettable experience for all audiences!.
